More about us

We are called Assist Care because that’s what we do. 

With Assist Care there is one crucial difference between us and other Care Providers because we have a unique social aim :To be run by the people we care for and support ~ through fulfilling and positive experiences and relationships.
We primarily help Young People in Care and those Leaving Care with accommodation and support needs. We believe that young people need a friendly and supportive team and we recognise that every situation is unique.

We will aid them in Community Cohesion and Life Skills. We will support the implementation and maintenance of existing Pathway Plans. We wish to ensure NEET young adults get the start they need.

Established in February 2012 Assist Care provides a range of accommodation services for young people in care and care leavers aged 16 to 25 with basic, enhanced and complex needs. We provide specialist support, care, advice and guidance to support them in their transition into adulthood and independent living.

We encourage our residents to identify, explore and develop positive pathways that improve their personal, health, social, educational and emotional wellbeing, utilising a range of 1:1, group work and discussion group sessions.

We listen to and value the young people and adults we work with,  believing that a positive environment along with high quality accommodation supports independent living.

Our outcomes focused approach to our work, makes the most of outcomes framework to put young people, children in care and care leavers at the centre of the services provided. We believe that if young people in care/leavers have confidence in agency & ownership of services that together we can build a foundation on which our residents can thrive onwards with their journey.

Mental Health

Care, Accommodation & Rehabilitation


Assist Care Team work with the NHS and similar organisations/agencies to provide the  accommodation needed for them to provide the care and rehabilitation for people diagnosed and living with mental health difficulties. One in four adults experience mental illness at some point during their lifetime and one in six experience symptoms at any one time – making mental illness the largest single cause of disability in our society.

We try to strive for the highest standards in accommodation, coupled with recovery focussed initiatives. Personalisation and re-ablementare the cornerstones of our provision.

Its crucial that whatever we do is centred around the individual.
